Post WWII tour
Tour prepared specially for military fans will lead you through different places connected with World War II (and Cold War) in the Eastern Europe
The itinerary connect three countries that played very important role during the 2nd World War:
- Germany – we start the tour in Berlin that is a living museum of WWII and the Cold War. You will enjoy a full day sightseeing focused on 20th century history in Berlin (Nazi era monuments, war monuments, Holocaust monuments, division of the town during the Cold War, Berlin Wall…). The next day drive to Potsdam, a little town some 25km from Berlin, where the Treaty of Potsdam was signed in 1945. Here you will also visit the Schloss Sanssouci and the Glienicker Brücke – „spy bridge“ – where the spies used to be exchanged between the USA and the USSR.
- Poland – visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial, touring Krakow city centre (the Royal Route, St. Mary’s Church…) and its Jewish Quarter + Wawel Castle. You can also drive to see the Wieliczka Salt Mine (UNESCO).
- Slovakia – visit Dukla pass, a place of one of the heaviest battles of WWII in Central Europe, located in the very north eastern part of the country. Visit the local memorial there and some of the military cemeteries around Stropkov. Continue driving to Bratislava and enroute visit Strecno Castle – a strategic spot in the Fatra mountains and site of heavy fighting during WWII (memorial to the French partisanas who fought here alongside Slovaks), or Banska Bystrica – the centre of the Slovak National Uprising in 1944 (memorial Museum of the Slovak National Uprising). Depart home from Bratislava or nearby Vienna Airport.

Testimonials
Hi Jana, Another very good feedback from these clients for their driver: „But since we are on the email, you may like to know and convey our appreciation to our Czech driver for the Salzburg-Czesky Krumlov segments. We all found him to be a very careful ,considerate and safe driver. He helped to make that long road trip very comfortable and enjoyable for us.“ He is our unsung silent hero ! The family are very well travelled and if they make it a point to raise this up, I’m sure he is indeed a star ! Please convey our sincerest THANK YOU to him and please let him know the family thank him and comment him very well for his service ! I think I want to use him for all MY future VIPs booking 🙂 Thanks !

Dear Jana,
I want to say “Thank you” with the typical “Linzer Torte” for your great work. I know a lot of DMCs, but most of them don’t have your quality!
You are great!
