Inspira offers great programme packages for avid birders from all over the world.
The Czech Republic is a landlocked country in Central Europe with quite varied landscape. This makes it a fine, but surprisingly overlooked, birding destination. Together with its neighbouring countries of Slovakia, Austria or Hungary, it boasts rich mosaics of different habitats and thus offers endless opportunities for birding. With the possible exception of winter the country has good birding conditions all year round, but as with most European countries, spring is overall best. The checklist of birds of the Czech Republic contains over 400 species (including all European woodpecker species!) and those are breeding birds, migrants, as well as wintering birds.
Our itineraries vary from ½ – 1 day tours in Prague and its neighbourhood, to complex packages covering the whole country or more countries. Hungary and Slovakia offer richly contrasting largely unspoilt countryside. Hungary is a well-known destination for birdwatchers, notably the famous Hortobagy National Park where the puszta ponds and marshes attract millions of birds every spring. Slovakia’s mountain forests, deep lakes and rocky habitats are home to completely different breeding species.
All countries are members of EU without inner borders which makes travelling very comfortable and smooth.
