7 Days, tour starts in Vienna and finishes in Budapest

This private luxury tour features the best of Central Europe with a focus on the countries’ centuries-old winemaking tradition. It includes tasting of unusual local varieties and private touring at leading wine estates in the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary’s most renowned viticultural regions, as well as cultural touring Vienna, Znojmo and Budapest and beautiful traditional villages throughout the countries.
The history of vineyards in Central Europe goes back all the way to the first century AD when the Roman soldiers entered this region for the first time. Thanks to a favourable climate the northernmost located vineyards in the whole world were created here. Local wines are of growing popularity, winning many awards recently. Each sub-region produces specific and unmistakable types of wine. Arguably, the king among them is the Eger-Tokaj Wine Region – a UNESCO World Heritage region listed for its long history of wine production.
Itinerary overview Day 1: Vienna (A) Arrival to Vienna (Vienna international airport being one of the most important ones in the region). Transfer to hotel. Afternoon walking sightseeing. Dinner onboard Duna River restaurant Day 2: Weinviertel (A) Private transfer to the biggest Austrian wine-growing region - Weinviertel. Light cycling trip along the vineyards and picturesque villages with tasting en route. Accommodation at local Bed and Breakfast. Day 3: Znojmo (CZ) Former royal town Znojmo boasts ancient history and the oldest Romanesque rotunda in the Czech Republic. It lies in the heart of wine growing region. Go down several steps to a cellar, where it is possible to get to know and experience precious moments of culinary wine pleasure and visit to the wine shop „U Jasneho krize" Day 4: Mikulov (CZ) Morning free at leisure. Afternoon transfer to Budapest via another important town - Mikulov where we will see the largest wine barrel in Central Europe, and a look at the activities of Vino Mikulov, especially the old-fashioned sparkling wine-making facility. Day 5: Budapest (H)Half-day private tour with one of Hungary’s most knowledgeable guides and experience our favourite places and activities. Browse local food and antique markets, explore the Castle District and take a tour of Buda’s most exclusive residential districts. Afternoon at leisure - relax while experiencing the local bathing culture in the city’s most prominent thermal bath or take your free time for shopping.
